PJ Harvey in Rome for her Italian concert!
Just few months after recording her latest work “white chalk”, Polly Jean Harvey plays live at the Auditorium Parco della Musica for her unique concert in Rome. P J Harvey is a multi instrumental player, singer, poet, painter. An eclectic artist who has gained general interest since the beginning of her career.
Among the accolades she has received have been the 2001 Mercury Music Prize, six BRIT Award nominations, five Grammy Award nominations and two further Mercury Music Prize nominations. After her debut album “Dry” Rolling Stone named her 1992’s Best New Artist and Best Singer Songwriter and 1995’s Artist of the Year, and placed two of her albums on its 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. She was also rated the number one female rock artist by Q magazine in a 2002 poll.
Besides her own work, she contributed to Josh Homme’s The Desert Sessions and appeared on Nick Cave’s Murder Ballads and Tricky’s Angels with Dirty Faces. She lent guitar, bass and background vocals to Sparklehorse’s album It’s a Wonderful Life.
Harvey produced, performed on and wrote five songs for Marianne Faithfull’s 2004 album Before the Poison.
